Bedding Bedding

Took the newly bedded stumpy to the range today, 300metres with a 30MPH left wind not a good test situation but rounds need to be fired to settle the wood work.
I fired 7 and stopped as there were visitors who wanted to use the range and we only had the one target operating.
The results were inconclusive however my gut feeling is that it has to be tightened up some more, one thing I noticed was the {to me} complete absence of recoil, the teak furniture makes it heaver so I suppose it absorbed by that {or I could just have my position right}
I don’t want to strip it down just yet to see the barrel high spots, as after 7 rounds there won’t be any!
I do need a good rifle, 6inch 5 shot groups at 300metres would be great but I’ll be happy with 7inch.
Bedding, it is really one of the black arts.
