I Have not posted for a while

And that is how I suppose many blogs die,

So to update those who read (who am I kidding)

The job situation has not been going as well as I had hoped, I still cannot see this skills shortage that people are talking about certainly not in my trade.

I did get a two-week job at a place nearby but the water heater at home blew up so any savings that I could have banked went to purchase a new one.

The Rodeo failed to proceed and $580.00 later it now does so. There was a black sludge in the tank and other things wrong with it but the blokes at Commercial Diesel at Silverwater got it going better than before and at a cheaper price than I thought.

VALE KATIE

My EK Holden Katie unfortunately has suffered too much metal moth and I have had to get rid of her I have had her 9 years she was a worthwhile replacement for Lucy her predecessor of 14 years

She looks blue in this photo but actually was Opal Green

However I have taken parts from her to use on my “new” car

Yes I had to go down the EK route again I have purchased a car that was last registered in 1981 It has some rust but it is probably the best that I am going to get.

Thanks to John at Western Wreckers for locating it for me.

The game plan is to get this one registered and running than drive to every printing factory in the Sydney Basin where I wish to work and hand in my resume.

I have tried the E-Mail route but I think that the messages get binned as spam

I have replaced the brakes on the new car and am going to do the kingpins tomorrow I only hope that the body repairs are neat and tidy.
I still have to pull the engine out and see if it has brass Welch plugs and I want to fit an alloy timing gear as the fibre ones have a tendency to go. Wayne at Holton Spares is doing most of the work and I am the come here and hold this bloke.

I spend a lot of time cleaning as this is a true country car full of red dust!

It is nice to have a project and I hope the money doesn’t run out before it is finished

I had a thought the other day that one of my faults is “Lack of ambition”
But perhaps its not a fault but a virtue?
